Jesus the Light of the World
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
It is light outside but inside my mind, it grew dim as my morning started. I was faced with challenges upon waking up before 8 a.m.
A friend sent an irate email.
The homily this morning was confusing.
My daughter had an attitude.
My sweet potato fries were burnt.
Lunch was not so good.
All these happened until 2:00 p.m. today. And, yet the sun shone outside. I can only say it is the enemy attack that tries to dampen such a glorious day.
The light comes here,
The angry friend needs wholesome neighborly advice; the homily has its high points; my daughter just needs a break from being pestered by my husband and me about her attitude; my potato fries were crunchy; and, lunch fed the three of us.
The light is always there especially when one seeks it. And this light is Jesus. Full stop.
