Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. 

~  Nine times cheated of my life savings.  One said that if I paid I would receive more income.  Another said that if I invested I would be able to pay rent and all the monies owed to a friend.  Third one said that he was my friend and to trust in him.

     All these three persons had in common was that they made promises, which were all broken, of income to help my family.  They did not know where to stop asking for more and more of my life savings putting the whole situation at risk.

     However, I did not remain bitter but forgave them.

Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. 

~  All three I forgave and offered them a listening ear and my time to solve the problem created by the devil.  I listened and I continued to converse with them as though they were friends I had met a long time ago.  They always left the conversation in composure and reassured that our God would fix things when the time was right and in the way we least expected it.

Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy. 

~  All the anguish and spiritual warfare have caused a nasty cough.  But in my heart and mind, I only see His eyes, the crucified Lord, that blinds Satan.  For it knows, that the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary are unwavering.

Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. 

~  As my body withers, I feel comforted that I am at peace and have prayed this St Augustine’s Prayer.  This has always helped me write out my thoughts and my life.

Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
